We’re excited to share that Kannaway has been recognized as Stevie Award winners in the 17th Annual International Business Awards, the world’s only international, all-encompassing business awards program.
Kannaway received a Bronze Award for Achievement in International Expansion in the Achievement Awards category, and our CEO Blake Schroeder earned a Silver Award for Maverick of the Year in the Management Awards category.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premiere business awards, held every year to honor outstanding performances and achievements by individuals and companies worldwide - public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, start-up and large corporation -- in every major industry.
“Gold, Silver, and Gronze Stevie winners were selected from more than 3,800 nominations,” according to the awards’ website.
For the Achievement in International Expansion Award, judges described Kannaway as “trailblazing for the emerging entrepreneurs worldwide and paradigms shifters advocating for social acceptance.” They recognized our expansion to Europe and Asia as a “huge accomplishment” and proclaimed that our “strategy and launch plan is thoughtful and rigorous.” They also praised Kannaway for “[demonstrating] significant reach and growth internationally through a series of initiatives.”
The judges also celebrated Kannaway CEO Blake Schroeder for being able to “tap into a market and create a niche where competitors are lined up waiting to step in.” They also praised his “extensive business experience in the nutrition industry” and his “positive resilience to getting things done effectively and in multicultural; settings.”
Dr. Stuart Titus, Kannaway founder and CEO of our parent company, Medical Marijuana, Inc., also won a Gold Stevie Award for Executive of the Year in the Food & Beverage category.
Winners were determined in a three-month-long process by using the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated on 13 juries. Since the ongoing public health crisis will prevent the winners from being celebrated during a traditional International Business Awards banquet, winners will receive their awards during a virtual awards ceremony on Tuesday, December 1st.
"Despite the unprecedented impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on organizations and working people worldwide, the number and quality of nominations we received in this year's International Business Awards attests to the continued outstanding performance of many organizations,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher. “The commitment we've seen through these nominations to maintaining the success, health, and safety of employees, customers, and communities is truly impressive.”
