Kannaway had an incredible year, recording unprecedented success and growing by nearly 30 times in sales revenue. As 2017 comes to an end, we take a look back at the many achievements Kannaway checked off this year.
We Launched New Products
Kannaway either launched or revamped nine separate product lines this past year, including improvements to old favorites and new, never-seen-before Kannaway products.
We began the year last January by launching our most potent product to date with our Gold Premium Hemp Oil oral applicator. The Premium Hemp Oil line is the best way to maximize your CBD intake each day. Shortly after, we formulated one of our most popular products in Rev!ve Pro. We also introduced Kannaway Chocolate Energy Chews, and for the holidays, we launched peppermint chocolate chews for a limited time. Our HempVAP CBD oil vaporizers also got a new formulation, increasing the levels of CBD and introducing natural terpenes for flavor.
We released a first-of-its-kind product line to the Kannaway store in May when we created Kannaway Essential Oils. These essential oil blends combine terpenes, botanical oils, and our proprietary Bi-Bong herbal extracts.
Most recently, we announced the addition of three new product lines at the Evolution event. Hempy’s hemp clothing is a whole new way to show your love for hemp. The company’s durable hemp cloth fabric only gets softer with use. Pure Gold Oil CBD liquid provides all the benefits of a full-spectrum CBD supplement without the worry over THC. Finally, Kannaway also revealed SuperGreens, a superfood supplement powder that provides concentrated nutrients that can be easily added to your diet.
Kannaway is constantly finding ways to ensure our product line is unique and competitive. Keep looking out for new products launched throughout the coming year.
We Broke Records
Kannaway had its largest year of sales ever, capped by the biggest month of sales in the company’s history in November. As a company, Kannaway increased its revenue 26 times higher since spring of 2015.
We also hosted our largest event in company history in November at the Evolution National Convention in Denver. The event was standing room only, as 700 people squeezed into a room designed to hold 500. Each Kannaway national convention have been larger than the last, and we expect the same in Las Vegas this spring.
Finally, as an organization, we saw over 2800 new Rank Advancements in total this year, including three new Presidential Elite Brand Ambassadors, our highest rated BAs to date. With thousands of BAs ranked Area Director or below, there is immense potential for growth at all levels of the Kannaway team.
We Expanded Operations
To keep pace with the growth of our team of Brand Ambassadors and the sales they help generate, Kannaway has expanded our operations, allowing us to better serve our customers and BAs while eyeing future growth.
This year we made a number of new executive team hires, including Alex Grapov, International Vice President; Jim Gibson, Vice President of Operations; Stephen Jones, Chief Marketing Officer; and Justin Stephens, Director of Customer Relations. These new additions to the Kannaway corporate team give us the talent we need to reach our full growth potential. We also expanded office and warehouse space by over 300% late in 2017, giving our teams the room they need to service our rapidly growing business.
Kannaway took advantage of international expansion opportunities this past year, launching full business operations in Europe just before the end of the year. Adding 28 new European countries to the Kannaway market, our European expansion marks the beginning of Kannaway’s international growth. This expansion was reinforced by Kannaway’s first regional event in Europe.
We Improved Customer Experience
Kannaway also took steps this year to perfect our customer’s experience. These steps include opening new channels of communication. We added a chat feature to our website for direct live access to a customer service representative. We also launched Spanish speaking support, ensuring that our customers are able to find the assistance they need. Finally, we offered new and improved shipping options and pricing, including lowered shipping for SmartShip orders.
We Announced Bigger and Better Incentives and Opportunities
Kannaway gave our Brand Ambassadors several exciting new reasons to excel this past year. We held the CBD Lifestyle Challenge to motivate our BAs to change their lives in whatever way they saw appropriate with the winner decided by Brand Ambassador vote. We also gave current BAs the chance to boost their business with our FastStart Restart opportunity.
We also presented a number of incentives this year, including our exclusive Black Tie events, #AreYouBoativated incentive, and the inaugural Elite Retreat cruise to Mexico. We announced in October that our Elite Retreat will be in Hawaii next year.
With so many Brand Ambassadors swiftly moving through our ranks, Kannaway needed to adjust our ranks, including the addition of higher ranks and the introduction of Elite status, including exclusive recognition rewards.
We Hosted Events
Kannaway held our regional and national events all year long. The year began with a Red Carpet Event in Atlanta. We also held Regional Red Carpet Events in Phoenix, Denver, Orange County, New York, New Orleans. Kannaway also hosted two successful national conventions: Ignite! in Phoenix and Evolution in Denver. These events present our BAs with the unique opportunity to hear first hand from Kannaway executives and top-performing ambassadors, network with fellow BAs, and meet exclusive guests like families affected by ECHO.
We Gave Back
Kannaway began contributions to ECHO this year, allowing Brand Ambassadors to give to ECHO through the Kannaway store. We also launched the Change a Life Today campaign and provided BAs the chance to make matched donations during many of our events. This year, Kannaway was able to raise nearly $49,000 thanks to the efforts of BAs like you.
With the steps taken this year to expand our operations ability, grow our markets, and maintain a competitive edge over similar businesses in our space, Kannaway finds itself in a strong position moving forward. We have a number of events scheduled for the first part of the year, we are working on innovative new products, and we are planning exciting new incentives to keep our BAs pushing for the top.
